The main application areas of sodium fluorosilicate include wood preservation, concrete admixtures, ceramic glazes, and glass manufacturing. In wood preservation, sodium fluorosilicate can react with the moisture in the wood to generate fluoride with anti-corrosion properties, thereby protecting the wood from pests and mold.
